As part of the 5th round of the Premier League of BiH, the handball players of Bosna Visoko Ekoenergija were defeated by Krivaja in Zavidovići with 28:31, with a halftime score of 14:22.

"If we had played the first half like the second, who knows what the outcome would have been" best describes our game tonight. In the first half, we didn't look like a team, we made too many mistakes, and our defense was below any acceptable level. How well we played defense in the second half is best illustrated by the fact that we conceded 22 goals in the first half and only nine in the second. The most important thing is if we manage to understand where we are making mistakes and where the problem lies.

After a 1:1 score at the start, Krivaja took a 4:2 lead in the 4th minute, and two minutes later it was 6:3. In the 10th minute, the hosts extended their lead to four goals (10:6), and five minutes later it was 13:8. Bosna failed to tighten up their defense, and things didn't look promising in attack either. Following a 15:9 lead for the hosts, we went on a mini 2:0 run to cut the deficit to 15:11. With four minutes left until halftime, Krivaja led 18:12, and instead of narrowing the gap in those final minutes of the first half, we allowed the hosts to pull away to a massive 22:14.

We came out much more determined in the second half, and within 10 minutes of play, we cut the hosts' lead in half. The score was 24:20 for Krivaja in the 40th minute. However, between the 40th and 50th minutes, we allowed Krivaja to pull ahead by five goals (29:24). During those moments, we missed our first two big fast-break opportunities, little knowing that those open shots would cost us until the end of the match. Instead of reducing the deficit to three goals, Krivaja pulled away to 30:24.

With four minutes left in the match, we cut the deficit to three goals—we put together a 3:0 run, and Krivaja led 30:27 in the 56th minute. We defended successfully and then had a chance to cut it to minus two, but the home team's goalkeeper, Pleh, stopped a clean shot from the wing. By the end of the match, both teams scored once each, and Krivaja celebrated a 31:28 victory.

There is little time to rest once again—a new match awaits us on Saturday, as the team from Maglaj visits Visoko. That encounter will be played on Saturday starting at 8:00 PM at KSC Mladost!
