RK Bosna Visoko Ekoenergija to Face Zrinjski in Mostar in Round 3

As part of Round 3 of the Men’s Handball Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, our boys will face Zrinjski Mostar tonight at 7:30 PM at the “Bijeli Brijeg” Sports Hall.

Both teams made a successful start to the season with victories. In the city derby last round, Zrinjski convincingly defeated Velež 30–21, while our RK Bosna Visoko Ekoenergija opened their league campaign with a 39–34 victory over MRK Goražde.

Neither team played in the first round. Zrinjski were scheduled to face RK Izviđač, but the match was postponed due to Izviđač’s participation in the European League. Meanwhile, our boys had a bye in the opening round as a result of the draw.

Tonight, we expect an exciting and fiercely contested match, similar to the encounters between these two sides in previous years. Zrinjski claimed a 36–32 victory on home court, although the match remained evenly balanced until the final five minutes. Bosna, meanwhile, won at home in one of last season’s most thrilling games, edging Zrinjski 28–27.

Bosna enter the new season as a stronger side, with greater ambitions than last year, giving us every reason to be optimistic ahead of this away fixture.

The head-to-head record between the two teams favours Bosna. To date, the clubs have met 34 times in official league matches. Bosna have won 19 times, Zrinjski have recorded 10 victories, and five matches have ended in a draw. In Mostar, Zrinjski hold a slight advantage, having won eight times, compared to Bosna’s five victories, while four encounters have ended in a draw. The overall goal difference stands at 1,019–959 in Bosna’s favour.

We wish our boys the best of luck in tonight’s encounter and hope they return to Visoko with valuable points, setting the stage for an exciting Round 4 clash, when RK Gračanica visit the “cauldron” of the KSC Mladost Sports Hall.
